A 1962 Excalibur RS Roadster will be up for auction at Mecum Auctions on May 16.
This unique roadster was designed by Brooks Stevens at the request of Bob Shaw, with input from Dave Draper. It features a chassis built by Chuck Rahn and hand-crafted aluminum bodywork on a steel tube space frame.

5.7L GM V-8 crate engine with Edelbrock throttle-body fuel injection
Tubular headers and custom valve covers
GM 700R4 automatic transmission
Mercedes-Benz Mystic Blue Metallic and Pearl White paint with Brilliant Red accents
Engine-turned interior panels and a removable steering wheel
Power-operated doors, hood, and decklid
Polycarbonate windshield
Ford GT40-inspired front end
