The Dutch construction and civil engineering company Heijmans collaborated with MX3D to create 3D printed steel bridge and other obdjects:
“We can 3D print beautiful, functional objects in almost any form.”
“With our robots that can “draw” steel structures in 3D, we will print a bridge over water in the center of Amsterdam.
Printing an intricate, ornate metal bridge for a special location to show what our robots and software, engineers, craftsmen and designers can do.”
The new technique is cost-effective and scalable, more than current 3D printing methods, and offers creative robot production solutions for art, construction and more.
