New Production-Car Speed Record

The BYD Yangwang U9 Xtreme has set a new production-car speed record, reaching 496.22 km/h at the ATP Automotive Testing Papenburg track.

This 3,000-horsepower electric supercar marks one of the most impressive achievements in EV history.

Powered by four electric motors and shaped by advanced aerodynamics, the U9 Xtreme 02 combines precision engineering with raw power. Its stability, cooling system, and finely tuned chassis allowed it to push close to the 500 km/h barrier.
