Fastest Puzzle Cube-Solving Robot

Purdubik’s Cube, a high-speed robot built by a Purdue team, now holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest robot to solve a puzzle cube, completing it in just 0.103 seconds.

That’s quicker than the blink of an eye, and almost three times faster than the previous record of 0.305 seconds, set by Mitsubishi Electric engineers in Japan in May 2024.

Purdue students Junpei Ota, Aden Hurd, Matthew Patrohay, and Alex Berta not only beat that record, they now have the official Guinness certification to prove it.
