Fire ants swarm created floating rafts to survive the rising water by Harvey.

Houston, Texas has had an unexpected side effect of the city’s flooding to deal with – floating rafts made up of hundreds of venomous fire ants. The ants, which are naturally very aggressive, are able to survive the rising water by forming rafts with their own bodies. These rafts can survive for weeks before breaking up.
