Construction starts on the World’s Tallest Tower

Construction starts on the world’s tallest tower, the mixed-use skyscraper Jeddah Tower, in Saudi Arabia.

Jeddah Tower that will rise over a kilometer, just secured funds for the $1.23 billion construction cost.

The record-breaking project by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, will be built in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will be 3,280 feet high, in comparison with the Burj Khalifa that is 2,716 feet tall.

If all goes according to schedule, the Jeddah Tower will be opened in 2018.
