LG Display has introduced the world’s first stretchable display, a major advancement that can expand by up to 50%.
At a recent event in Seoul, LG showcased this new 12-inch prototype that stretches to 18 inches, featuring a 100ppi resolution and full RGB color.
This new version greatly improves upon LG’s 2022 prototype, which had a 20% stretch limit. By incorporating advanced materials and an updated wiring design, LG achieved this increased flexibility, making the display durable enough to endure over 10,000 stretches.
