China Maglev
China has successfully tested an ultra-high-speed maglev train, capable of reaching speeds up to 621 mph.
A recent test in Shanxi Province, North China, successfully demonstrated an ultra-high-speed (UHS) maglev train reaching up to 1,000 km/h (621 mph).
The UHS low-vacuum tube magnetic levitation system, developed by China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited and Shanxi, underwent a full-scale trial. The superconducting maglev vehicle operated within a 2-kilometer low-vacuum tube, achieving stable levitation, controlled navigation, and safe stopping.
The test confirmed that the train’s speed, suspension height, and movement closely matched the theoretical expectations, with all systems functioning as intended.
