The Maserati MC20 has officially become the fastest self-driving car, hitting 197.7 mph with no driver.
This achievement comes from a collaboration between the Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC), Politecnico di Milano—Italy’s top science and technology university—Maserati, and the 1000 Miglia Experience Florida.
The event took place in Cape Canaveral, Florida, as part of MOST, Italy’s National Center for Sustainable Mobility, which focuses on advancing eco-friendly transportation.
