Porsche Taycan set a Guinness World Record for an electric car’s longest continuous ice drift.
Driving a Taycan GTS, instructor Jens Richter completed 132 laps in controlled oversteer. In 46 minutes, he covered exactly 17.503 kilometers. This marks the fourth Guinness World Record for Porsche’s electric sports car.

The record attempt began on the afternoon of January 14, 2025, with challenging weather conditions.
Jens Richter, describing the challenges, said:
“Under the extreme continuous load of the drifting Taycan, the ice track deteriorated faster than expected. We therefore had to abort the first attempt after around 11 kilometers.”
