AV unveils Skyfall, a future Mars helicopter mission concept, developed with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).
This next-generation concept aims to support future human landings on Mars using a fleet of autonomous scout helicopters.
Skyfall would send six helicopters to Mars, where they would explore key locations identified by NASA and its partners as top candidates for human landings. Each helicopter would fly independently, capturing detailed images and radar data from both the surface and below ground. This information would be sent back to Earth to help ensure astronauts land safely in areas rich in water, ice, and other essential resources.
The mission could also provide new clues about whether Mars may have once supported life.
