The Bugatti Bolide is a track-only sports car created by Bugatti Engineering in Wolfsburg, Germany, and Bugatti Automobiles in France.
It was built in Molsheim by Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. and was unveiled online on October 28, 2020.
The Bolide concept features Bugatti’s W16 engine with a weight-to-power ratio of 0.91 kg/kW (1.50 lb/hp). Bugatti has stated it will be the final car to use their 8.0-liter W16 engine with four turbochargers.
“Bolide” comes from the French term le bolide, meaning “the racing car.”
