The future of strawberry farming: Big wheels and robots are helping James Dyson grow strawberries in the UK.

Dyson Farming has built a new 26-acre glasshouse in Carrington, Lincolnshire, as part of its eco-friendly farming system. This high-tech setup helps grow strawberries locally, reducing the need to import them from abroad.

The glasshouse runs on clean energy and extra heat from a nearby Dyson facility. It’s huge—760 meters long—with 1.2 million strawberry plants across 1,456 rows. Every year, it can grow about 1,250 tonnes of strawberries for people in the UK.

When the strawberries are ready, 16 robot arms gently pick them. James Dyson says the robots harvested 200,000 strawberries in just one month.
