The humanoid robot Figure 03 can handle everyday chores — cleaning, doing laundry, and even delivering packages — much like a real person.
When it launched this October, Figure 03 could already do some household tasks such as folding clothes and loading a dishwasher. However, it still needed a little human help — for example, to start the washing machine or pick up dropped items.
To improve its abilities, the company has begun a large-scale data collection effort to train the robot’s Helix neural network, allowing it to perform more tasks independently over time.
As a general-purpose humanoid, Figure 03 can work both at home and in factories. For home use, it’s dressed in soft knitwear with a fabric covering and layered foam to make it safer and more comfortable to be around.
