This model builds on Porsche’s most successful Formula E car so far. In its GEN3 version, the 99X Electric secured back-to-back drivers’ championships: Dennis in 2022/2023 and Wehrlein in 2023/2024. The core concept remains unchanged, with energy usage limited by series rules, requiring teams to maximize efficiency in all areas.

For the GEN3 Evo, manufacturers could update certain components, leading Porsche’s Weissach development team to focus on improvements, particularly to the powertrain. These upgrades will be in place for two seasons until the GEN4 model debuts in Season 13 (2026/2027).
