Elon Musk fulfilled his promise to build the world’s biggest battery in just 100 days.
Tesla‘s CEO Elon Musk bet that he could create world’s biggest battery in under 100 days, to help South Australia with its energy problems.
Now, local authorities will have to pay $50 million for the giant battery because Tesla fulfilled its promise and completed the project in under 100 days.
According to Business Insider, Tesla’s 100 megawatt Powerpack is the largest lithium-ion battery in the world.
State Premier Jay Weatherill said:
“South Australia is set to have backup power in place this summer through the world’s largest lithium-ion battery, which is set to be energized for the first time in the coming days as it enters a phase of regulatory testing.”
