Peter Salzmann breaks the world’s longest wingsuit with a foil flight record.
Wingsuit pilot Peter Salzmann made history by leaping from a mountain ledge in Switzerland and achieving record-breaking distances. Starting his flight from the Jungfrau mountain at 4,063 meters, he wore a revolutionary wingsuit with a special foil to soar faster and farther.
Shortly after launching, he reached a top speed of 200 km/h and glided for nearly six minutes without engine power, covering 12.5 kilometers before safely deploying his parachute and landing between Lauterbrunnen and Interlaken.

This incredible flight set world records for the longest BASE flight duration (5 minutes, 56 seconds) and distance (12.5 km). The jump also set a record for the highest altitude difference, with 3,402 meters from start to landing.
