World’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge opens in Zermatt, Switzerland.
The Europa-Weg trail of Grächen and Zermatt is once again accessible. After a stone break, the path was interrupted. The 494-meter-long (1,621 feet) bridge is suspended at 85 meters (300 feet) above the valley floor
Over 400 people attended the opening ceremony on July 29, 2017.
