World’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge Arouca 516 (meter-long), has been completed in Portugal.
The new Arouca 516 pedestrian suspension bridge sits 175 meters above the Paiva river, in the north of Portugal.
Located near the tiny town of Arouca, it is 516 meter-long, breaking the record previously held by the Charles Kuonen Bridge in the Swiss Alps.
It took two years to construct and is held up two large towers on each side and by steel cables.
