19-year-old Tilly Lockey, the bionic teenager who keeps overcoming challenges, is now wearing the world’s most advanced bionic hands.
As a baby, she got meningitis, and doctors had to remove her hands to save her life. Now, thanks to advanced bionic hands she controls with her mind, Tilly lives a full and active life.
This week, she became the first person to receive the world’s most advanced wireless bionic hands, giving her more strength than ever. She’s in the studio to show us her new hands, joined by robotics engineer Joel Gibbard, one of the people who helped design them.
