Hallucigenia sparsa

Scientists revealed 505-million-year-old ‘worm spider,’ ancestor of arachnids and insects.

Hallucigenia sparsa with the missing head, that lived in the oceans 505 million years ago, were first discovered 100 years ago, but just now revealed what the animal would have looked like.

Scientists originally reconstructed the bizarre looking insect, upside down and back to front, just now Martin Smith reveals the most complete picture so far of it.
