BMW says its next-gen revolutionary electric drive models will go 30% farther and charge 30% faster.

EV buyers prioritize range and charging speed, and automakers are racing to improve both. BMW appears to be making real progress, announcing that its upcoming Neue Klasse vehicles will feature new batteries with 30% more range and 30% faster charging.

The new Gen6 will debut this year in the Neue Klasse and later power BMW’s full lineup of electric vehicles.

These next-gen high-voltage batteries have a brand-new design and will be used across all segments, including high-performance BMW M models. Their slimmer shape makes them easy to integrate into various vehicles, no matter their height.
