Boeing patents a Force Field device to protect vehicles and buildings from explosion shock-waves, like the one in star-ship Enterprise.
The device is detecting an explosion via sensors, and then uses lasers, microwaves or electric current to ionise a protection arc, to withstand blast-wave.
The system can protect vehicles, buildings, aircraft, ships and submarines.
According to the patent, Boeing is working on a force field system which could be used to protect military vehicles from bomb explosions. When detecting an explosion, immediately fire off an ‘electric arc that travels along an electrically conductive path, utilizing at least one of high intensity laser pulses.’
