Elon Musk unveils plans to set up a million person city on Mars, at the International Astronautical Congress in Mexico.
Elon Musk said that a powerful ‘megashuttle’ will take man to Mars in only 80 days, compared to today’s 6 months.
But he also warns first trips will be ‘really very dangerous.’
The Mars Shuttle would launch from Earth on a reusable booster, with empty fuel tanks and refuel in orbit. It will carry 100 passengers at a time.
Hoped shuttle could first fly by 2020, with first Mars trip in a decade.
Pledged to make the price of a trip to Mars will be around $200,000.
