The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced eight selected proposals under its new Advanced Air Mobility and Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Integration Pilot Program (eIPP).
These eight pilot projects will allow leading U.S. eVTOL companies to begin limited commercial flights in areas ranging from Florida and Manhattan to Texas and Utah. The operations will include passenger travel as well as cargo and logistics services.

The eIPP is part of an executive order by Donald Trump called “Unleashing American Drone Dominance,” which aims to relax regulations and speed up approvals for drones and next-generation electric aircraft.
eVTOL aircraft are a new type of flying vehicle that could create jobs, improve transportation between communities, and boost America’s position in aviation.
