Ferrari has officially unveiled the look of its Hypersail, a bold 100-foot ocean racing monohull prototype.
The boat is designed to “fly” over the water with stability on three contact points. One foil is connected to a canting keel, while balance is maintained by the rudder and, in turns, the two side foils.

This project marks Ferrari’s move into the sailing world, blending its racing DNA with cutting-edge marine technology. The full-foil monohull is built for long-distance ocean racing, with a sleek design inspired by the brand’s most iconic cars, where every line serves performance.

Advanced Ferrari engineering meets modern naval design in this high-tech vessel. Nothing is purely decorative, every shape is dictated by how wind, water, and speed interact.
Because it’s built for offshore racing, the design follows strict aerodynamic and engineering limits from the start. Performance comes first, and the design naturally follows.

The Ferrari Design Studio, led by Flavio Manzoni, worked closely with Ferrari engineers and naval architect Guillaume Verdier to turn technical constraints into a striking final form.

The aim is clear: bring Ferrari’s signature style and constant innovation into a completely new environment, without losing what makes a Ferrari instantly recognizable.
John Elkann, Chairman of Ferrari, said:
“We are bringing into existence a unique boat that will fly across the oceans, representing a real opportunity for innovation in both the nautical and automotive worlds.”
