OPEN Architecture has unveiled the competition scheme for Shenzhen Maritime Museum, ‘The Icebergs and the Sea.’

Six glass ‘icebergs’ arise from the subtropical coast — the stunning formation is calling for attention to global warming and marine environmental protection.

Iceberg being the most striking form of water, brings a surprising and refreshing image to this subtropical metropolis, while ringing an unforgettable alarming call: the impact of melting ice caps at the poles may not be that far away from our everyday life!
