Hangzhou, China, is upgrading its traffic management with a new AI-powered robot police officer that helps guide cars and pedestrians.
The futuristic robot has been placed on duty in the eastern Chinese technology hub, where it uses artificial intelligence to assist with directing traffic and improving road safety.
Known as Hangxing No. 1, the robot began working in early December as part of a pilot project launched by the Hangzhou Traffic Police Tactical Unit.
