Star of Galaxy robotic stand turns a Samsung device into a collaborative assistant, wins Samsung’s design competition.
Star of Galaxy created by Portuguese designers André Gouveia, Nuno Pires and João Pereira, to assist people to record themselves on video, wins the mobile accessories category in Samsung Mobile Design Competition.
The device is able to follow you around, by automatically adjust the position, depending on where you are located.
Gouveia said that the stand was inspired by the ‘collaborative robotics’:
“The articulated arm allows total rotation and tilt, captures everything using the front and back cameras of Galaxy’s devices. This ability to follow you in every direction and the vocal recognition, allied to the software integration, represents a leap in the market.”
