Facebook has mapped in details the population of 23 countries in incredible, to help find the best way to deliver internet.
Facebook used satellite-based data with resolution of five meters, to map the Earth’s human population.

They know exactly where the 2 billion of humans live, to within 15 feet.
The company is using the data to understand the distribution of humans on Earth.
Janna Lewis, Facebook’s head of strategic innovation partnerships and sourcing, said:
“Satellites are exciting for us. Our data showed the best way to connect cities is an internet in the sky. We’re trying to connect people from the stratosphere and from space, using high-altitude drone aircraft and satellites, to supplement Earth-based networks.”
