Omni-Directional Bike

This omni-directional bike can move in any direction, including going directly sideways, and I even tried to ride it backwards!

“This is the fifth omni-directional bike that I’ve built. This bike uses the active belt-driven omni-bike from the one-wheel balancing robot I built in April 2025 as the front wheel, and the big omni wheel from the experimental Speeder-Bike I built in 2023.

I used joysticks to control this bike, it actively balances using an inertial measurement unit and a PID controller.”
