The Wonder Pedestrian Bridge spanning the Paso Robles Highway at the eastern edge of Lost Hills, connects the Park to the North, with a Pre-school and College Prep Academy, in California.

Before the Wonder Bridge, Lost Hills was split in two by a busy road, making it tough for folks to cross safely.

SPF:architects stepped in to design a solution, crafting a bridge right next to Lost Hills Park. They wanted it not just to link the town’s halves, but also make a statement as a key part of the landscape.

The bridge’s design takes cues from nature, like a lizard’s tail and swirling water. Its spiral shape makes it easy for everyone to use, meeting ADA standards. The main span is a standard concrete structure but with a twist: a special green railing that starts plain and curves into a heart shape at the center, showing unity and community spirit.
