Aptera Motors to start production of their groundbreaking solar EV (electric vehicle).
Aptera Motors announced the successful completion of its Accelerator Program, raising over $33 million. This funding will kickstart production for their groundbreaking solar electric vehicle.
The program, initiated in January 2023, allowed investors to secure one of Aptera’s first 2,000 vehicle reservation slots by contributing $10,000 or more.

Recently, the program gained momentum, raising over $2 million in just the past few days. The slots were prioritized based on investment, with the top spot attracting close to $4 million.
Chris McCammon, Aptera’s Community & Content Manager, said:

When markets were down, other electric vehicle startups were struggling and the few other solar EV startups that existed disappeared. We knew that couldn’t be our story.
