The bionic ants created by German engineering firm Festo, are about the size of a human hand, they have cooperative behavior of the real insects and could one day be used in place of humans in factories.
They have 3D-printed bodies, making individual decisions related to a common goal, cameras in place of their eyes and charge their batteries through metal antennas.
