Japan to launch a fleet of 250 self-piloting ships by 2025.

Japan’s shipbuilders and maritime shippers, plans to launch a fleet of self-driving cargo ships piloted by computers, by 2025.

According to the companies involved, that could cut the risk of accidents at sea in half.

Connected to the internet, the smart boats would utilize artificial intelligence to plot the safest, shortest and cheapest routes.

With this new amazing boats, Japan is hopping to increase its share of the shipping market.
