The Japanese Maglev (‘magnetic levitation’) Train has set a world speed record during near Mount Fuji, reaching over 373mph or 600kph. Its previous record was 366mph or 590kmph.

The Maglev train hover and it moves by electrically charged magnets.

Japan Railway plans to have the train available to the public in 2027.
