Super stealth Ghost vessel, that ‘flies’ above the sea to increase speed and stability, could be the warship of the future.
Ghost was created by US-based Juliet Marine Systems, founded by entrepreneur Greg Sancoff.
The 38ft-long (11.5m) main cabin ‘sits’ on top of two tall struts, that extend to the side so the ship can cruise in shallow waters.
The boat can reach speeds of 33 knots (38 mph), even with 8ft waves.
Cliff Byrd, senior product specialist at Juliet Marine Systems told MailOnline:
“Ghost is a reconfigurable SWATH (small water area twin hull).
It is the world’s first reconfigurable SWATH and the world’s fastest (32knots plus). SWATH hulls are very stable and ride through rough seas better than most other hull forms.”
