Tesla Motors Inc. plans to begin a new product, expected to be the new Tesla Home Batteries.

Tesla is holding a press conference on the 30th of April to announce building lithium-ion batteries at its new Reno “Gigafactory.”
Tesla’s VP of investor relations, Jeff Evanson said that the company would be announcing the new home batteries at the event. He wrote in a message confirmed by BuzzFeed News as authentic:
“We have decided to share a bit about what we will announce on the 30th. We will introduce the Tesla home battery and a very large utility scale battery. We will explain the advantages of our solutions and why past battery options were not compelling.”
