The NEMO submarine is the lightest submarine built to date. it has a single lifting point and can easily be placed on a flat surface without the need for a cradle or davit. Onshore, or ship-board, the NEMO is easily deployed.
At only 2,500 kg (5,510 Lbs) the NEMO is the lightest manned submersible ever conceived. With its low profile lines the submarine stands only 1.55 meter (5 feet) above the deck. With these two key features the NEMO is suited for a much wider range of applications and will fit on a broader variety of ships. And because of the low weight the NEMO can even be towed behind a car.
