World's Smallest Snowman

This is the smallest snowman in the world, just 3 microns tall. For comparison, a human hair is about 75 microns thick.

The World’s Smallest Snowman stands less than 3 microns tall, is visible only by electron microscope.  Fabricated from three 0.9 micron silica spheres, stacked with the use of electron beam lithography.

The eyes and mouth were cut with a focused ion beam. The arms and nose are made of platinum.
