Two American astronauts landed in the Gulf of Mexico, from the International Space Station on Sunday, on the Dragon capsule, successfully crowning this first mission of SpaceX that has signed a contract with NASA.
The Dragon capsule landed off Pensacola, Florida as predicted at 14:48.
Four large parachutes slowed down the descent of the capsule, which was immediately recovered by a SpaceX special boat.
The flight manager told the astronauts:
“Welcome to Earth, and thank you for traveling with SpaceX.”
